ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A fight occurred at the two branches of Rolling Hills Library in February, but not the kind you're thinking of.
The Savannah and Belt Branches challenged each other to see who would could collect the most pairs of socks to donate to the homeless and others in need.
Public Relations Specialist at Rolling Hills Library Alan Stolfus told KXCV/KRNW that warm feet are important, especially during the winter months.
The Belt branch won by 18 with 776 pairs of socks. The two branches totaled 1570 pairs of socks. They will be donated to the Andrew Counties Ministries, the St. Joseph YWCA and Community Action Partnership.
